Gerda is the founding Director of Marketworx Africa, a boutique economic development consulting company based in South Africa. Gerda has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial sector in sub-Sahara Africa and beyond. She has broad experience in financial sector and MSME development, ranging from the design and implementation of qualitative research, large quantitative surveys, the development of national strategies, policy advice, sector mapping and analyses, impact evaluations and project design. Key focus areas include financial education and consumer protection. Gerda holds a B.Econ from Stellenbosch University (1984) and an MBA from Georgetown University, Washington DC (1995).
Ahmad is a seasoned behavioral change expert with a background in applying behavioral change methodologies and innovating change management solutions to optimize the employee experience during deals and organizational change transformations. Prior to joining KPMG, Ahmad served in various capacities in the public sector and non-governmental agencies to promote evidence-based policy making and experimentation to test 'what works' in several policy areas, including financial inclusion.
Dani Ibrahim, has spent the last decade working on matters of financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and sustainable development. He has a vast network of relationships with financial service providers in the Middle East, especially microfinance providers. Dani has been involved in several start-ups including solely and with partners. He provides guidance in efforts to acquire new partners and manage clients relationships and esp. in the Middle East. Dani is also driving the advancement of the business development services side of Fiinafas.
Aurelia Fah has worked for several years with the World Bank on financial inclusion, before getting involved as a co-owner of a disruptive start-up in financial services. Aurelia has a strong network across international organizations and apex entities. She is in charge of providing inputs in securing sustainable financing and advising on the business model. Aurelia actively participate in steering the development of Fiinafas, bringing her first hand experience in financial inclusion to the table.
